JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – McNeese’s outdoor track and field season came to an end on Saturday at the 2016 NCAA Division I East Preliminary Round when junior triple jumper John Lemke failed to advance to the national meet despite posting the second-best jump of his career.

SUGAR LAND, Texas – The McNeese baseball team may not have gotten the results it was looking for in the short-term but the Cowboys, who were eliminated by Southeastern Louisiana, 4-1, in the Southland Conference Tournament baseball semi-finals, left the scene having set the bar high for years to come on standards of a winning program after another historic season on the diamond.

JACKSONVILLE, Florida – McNeese’s women’s pole vault record holder, senior Nicole Casper, had her collegiate career come to an end on Friday at the 2016 NCAA Division I East Preliminary Round as her height of 13-feet, 9 ¼-inches tied her with seven other participants for 11th place.

JACKSONVILLE, Florida – McNeese’s Kartavius Hamilton, Tyler Smith and Morgan Woods opened up competition for the Cowboys and Cowgirls at the NCAA East Preliminary Track and Field meet on Thursday afternoon but unfortunately, none of the three will be extending their seasons to the national championships.

SUGAR LAND, Texas – It was a battle neither the McNeese baseball team nor Southeastern Louisiana wanted to lose and both performed as so but eventually it was the second-seeded Lions who broke through in the final two innings and pulled out a 10-0 victory over the sixth-seed Cowboys in the second round of the 2016 Southland Conference Tournament at Constellation Field.
