LAKE CHARLES—McNeese volleyball will continue Southland Conference action on the road this weekend when the Cowgirls travel west on I-10 to Lamar (10-5, 0-1 SLC) Thursday for a 7 p.m. match. McNeese will continue onto Sam Houston State (8-8, 2-0 SLC) for an 11 a.m. on Saturday. Live stats and live streaming links can be found on mcneesesports.com.

LAKE CHARLES—Former McNeese women’s basketball standout Talisa Boyd has signed a professional contract with the Club Baloncesto Leganes as announced by 13 Basketball Management. Boyd becomes the second Cowgirl to sign a pro contract in consecutive years. Cecilia Okoye is in her second season with the BC Grosuplje in Slovenia.

VALENTINE, Neb. – For the second consecutive day the McNeese Cowboys golf team, ranked No. 3 in the nation by Golfweek, had an under par round slip away late as the Cowboys ended the day with team score of 288 to finish even par in the third and final round of The Jackrabbit tournament and finishing in seventh place with a 16-over 880.
